The Montreux Golf Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus, and opened on June 28, 1997.
Montreux is 72 par, 7,472 yards from the Golden Bear Tees, with a slope of 146 (from the Golden Bear Tees). Average size of the Greens is approximately 6,300 sq. ft, with approximately 70 sand bunkers using a special blend of white sand shipped from Idaho Water Hazards. The turf of the fairways and tees is Pro-Cup Bent Grass and Blue Grass, greens are Crenshaw Bent Grass and the rough is Fescue/Blue Grass Blend. The course features lakes on holes 1, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 18, waterfalls on holes 4, 6, 7, 18, and latent water on holes 11, 12, 16, 17.
